Dwayne Bravo in action

Dwayne Bravo tried to lead a counter-attack, smashing Jayasuriya for a boundary and six in the 12th over. The West Indies all-rounder dominated the 50-run partnership for the fifth wicket off 44 deliveries as he scored 35 of them, while Ramnaresh Sarwan had just 13.
Bravo brought up his half-century in style off just 38 deliveries when he slammed Malinga over midwicket for a six.
But he fell off the next delivery. Once again it was the slower delivery from Malinga that caused the damage. He tried another big shot through midwicket but failed to read the slower delivery and ended up lobbing a simple catch to mid-on.
He was dismissed for 51 off just 38 deliveries, inclusive of five boundaries and two sixes.

Lendl Simmons hits a boundary off Ajantha Mendis.
The absence of Chris Gayle was clearly evident, as openers Simmons and Andre Fletcher failed to get going. Left-arm spinner Jayasuriya opened the bowling and gave away just three runs in his first over.
Gayle was rested for the match and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin, who took over the captaincy, elected to field.

Rohit Sharma in action

Rohit Sharma paddle-scooped Alex Cusack for a four and then chipped him to a similar effect. The opening stand had yielded 77 runs when Gambhir perished at backward point in the 11th over.
An undeterred Rohit smacked Rankin over mid-wicket for a huge six to inch closer to the target and even though Mahendra Singh Dhoni's (14) was a brief stay, India's win was just a matter of formality which Rohit and Yuvraj Singh (3 not out) completed with ease.
Gautam Gambhir in action

Gautam Gambhir hit boundaries at will on his way to 37 off 31 deliveries.
India hardly broke a sweat while chasing the 113-run target off 18 overs with Gambhir and Rohit Sharma going great guns. Gambhir cut the first ball from Boyd Rankin through covers for a four to signal his intention. The left-hander came dancing down the track to hit Kevin O'Brien through covers and then upper-cut Rankin over third man for a stunning six.

Yuvraj Singh in action
Yuvraj Singh provided the finishing touches to the innings with some powerful strokes in the final overs, as India posted a healthy 180 for five in their 20 overs.
An easy task for Rajasthan batters

Yusuf Pathan, who did not get a chance with the ball, played a decent cameo with the bat soon after resumption.
A cover drive off Kallis and a pull towards the long-leg boundary being the only two boundaries in his 19-ball 22.
He fell soon after hitting the second of those shots, a shorter one from Dillion du Preez, straight to Jaffer at long leg.

A superb all-round effort from man-of-the-match Rohit Sharma -- 38 and 4 for 6 in two overs, including a hat trick -- enabled Deccan Chargers beat Mumbai Indians by 19 runs.

J P Duminy (in the picture) was the lone Mumbai batsman to play an innings of any worth, his 48-ball 52 containing seven boundaries. But he was desperately let down by his teammates.
This was the Hyderabad team's second successive win over Mumbai in the competition, having got the better of them in their opening match-up at Durban.

Paceman Rudra Pratap Singh celebrates after the dismissal of opener and Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar for just 2 runs.
"I thought the bowlers did a fantastic job. It was the batting in the middle stages that didn't go according to our plan. Pinal batted really well, he kept the scoreboard ticking quite nicely. But it's just that in between overs we lost wickets and didn't score many runs," Tendulkar said after the match.
Earlier Deccan Chargers scored 145 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Duminy's wicket made sure Sharma got his hat-trick. He dismissed Abhishek Nayar and Harbhajan Singh in his previous over.
